The following technologies are to be the first installments to the Vang Vieng Primary School. They aim to assist the school in becoming self-sufficient with their Water, Energy and Sanitation requirements. These installments will be completed over various phases:
Phase 1 – Energy
- Solar Panels
- Electricity Generating Playgrounds
Phase 2 – Water
- Rainwater Harvesting Systems
- UV Sterilization – Sunlight or UV bulbs
Phase 3 – Sanitation
- Composting Toilets
Sustaining Communities Provision of Educational Technologies
The Vang Vieng Primary School has been gifted a desktop computer and printer as well as an educational and recreational budget for equipment, training and addtional resources to benefit both students and teachers. This is to be a continuos effort that will take priority over the Water, Energy and Sanitation technologies based on the needs of the school. Sustaining Communities is commited to the concept of sustainability and the provision of sustainable technologies however this will be provided based on our level of funding and the immediate needs of the school.
